萧公权（1897年-1981年），生于江西南安（今大余县），萧叔玉之弟。早年就读于清华大学，后赴美留学。1926年回国，历任南开、东北、燕京、清华、四川、光华、台湾、华盛顿等大学教授。1948年，选作中央研究院第一届院士。 后去台湾，寻又赴美，长期从事研究、教学。1981年11月4日卒于美国。 萧公权先生治政治学，著有《中国政治思想史》、《康有为思想研究》、《政治多元论》、《宪政与民主》、《中国乡村》、《翁同龢与戊戌维新》等。卒后，全部著作由汪荣祖教授编为九卷本的《萧公权全集》。此人乃近百年来于文化变局中立定脚根、深入西方学术的领城，然后心平气和地在中西新旧各种学问之间，加以折衷调和、锤铸涵融，自成二家之言的中国人文学者。
